The Early Life of a Tarutaru
Ceciltaru was born in 862 C.E. to Gala-tuku and Firiontaru of Windurst. Gala-tuku was a former hand-maiden of the Star Sibyl, who became a dancer in the Timbre Timber’s Tavern in Windurst Waters. Firiontaru was a War Warlock in service to Robel-Akbel during the Crystal War, during which he was reported killed by a gigas during the siege of Jeuno.
When Ceciltaru was old enough, he attended some training in the art of battle. However, it was magic that really interested Ceciltaru, and he entered the Aurastery in 872 C.E. It was there in the Aurastery, where Ceciltaru would meet his mentor, Master Moreno-Toeno. Ceciltaru excelled in the white and black arts, and on one occasion was even known as the teacher’s pet.
In 876 C.E., during a field trip to one of the Horutoto ruins, Ceciltaru and his best friend, Kain-betin, found themselves separated from the group at one point. While they were trying to find their way back to the group, they stumbled upon on a skeleton, who slashed at Kain-betin killing him instantly. Ceciltaru cast a simple Fire spell on the skeleton and then ran back through the tunnels. When he finally found the group, he told the teacher what had happend, but was punished for running away.
In 882 C.E. Ceciltaru left his home in Windurst, in search of what the great world of Vana’diel had in store for him.
